This project was part of an assignment for Graphic Design III. The idea was to create postcards for the city of Omaha, both front and back. I decided to take an Art Nouveau approach to the assignment, using large color palettes with several soft, pastel colors and typefaces similar to those in the Art Nouveau period.
I decided to focus on five famous places around Omaha: The Henry Doorly Zoo, St. Cecelia's Cathedral, The Old Market, Werner Park, and The Joslyn. I then drew each place in basic shapes like Art Nouveau and applied the pastel color palette. as well as give the whole piece a border, to create a cohesive look.
On the back of each piece is the name and address of the place, as well as an area to write a letter and the address of the receiver of the postcard. Below is the entire postcard series that was made for the assignment.

I expanded on this project and designed a visitor's guide brochure for tourists. Inside includes more information about the five spots highlights on the postcards, along with contact information on the back for the Omaha Douglas Civic Center and more information about the city of Omaha.
I incorporated the Art Nouveau style with pastel colors and Art Nouveau typography, creating unity between the brocure and the post cards.
To complete the Omaha tourist experience I designed this travel journal that is specifically for touring the city of Omaha. To create a cohesiveness between the postcards, brochure, and this journal, I used the same pastel color palette and typography.
I decided to go with a more basic drawing of Omaha's city skyline that still matches the Art Nouveau style but is unique for the journal compared to the style I chose to do on the postcards.
